Repurposed

I was inspired by the idea of using old unwanted items and making them into something new, fun, and exciting.  My mother in law started her hunt and scored on hundreds of sweaters.  My plan is to turn these sweaters into something that will be cute and fun for all ages.

The first sweater I used I made a pillow, leg warmers, head band, and skirt.  This was a fun process and I am excited to create more like these.

This was the sweater before.

I took the front and back of the sweater and sewed some fabric and piping around the sides to make this cute little pillow.  Price $35

To make these leg warmers I took the sleeves of the sweater and added the ruffle and binding.  The ruffle can be warn on bottom or on top of the leg.  Ruffle shown on the bottom.

Baby Wrap

This is a reversible baby wrap made from Amy Butler's Love collection fabrics all 100% cotton.  The tie has two holes on the back to adjust as your baby grows.  This one is for infants, but I can make one for older babies as well.  Price $35

Back Pack

This back pack is made from designer Chez Moi's Hunky Dory fabric collection and is 100% cotton.  This bag would make a perfect overnight bag or light weight school bag.  I wouldn't recommend using this for students with lots of heavy books to carry.  It has a zipper on top and adjustable straps in the back with soft shoulder straps for comfort.  Price $45

Wee Woodland Quilt

This adorable baby quilt is made from 100% cotton fabric designed by Keiki for Moda.  The stripe is designed by Makower uk.  The dimensions for this quilt are 40.5" X 41" with a cotton/poly blend batting.  Price $200

Black and White quilt

This is one of my larger quilts made from 100% cotton fabrics designed by Alexander Henry.  The batting is a blend of 50% cotton and 50% ploy.  

The dimensions of this quilt are 66" X 55" which make for a great throw blanket in the living room or bedroom.  Price $200
